Charles-Arthur Feuvrier
Born in 1997, Charles-Arthur Feuvrier is a graduate of ESA Réunion and ENSBA Lyon, winner of the Mécènes du Sud 2022 scholarship and co-founder of the artist-run -space lyonnais monopole. Charles-Arthur is interested in the forms and formats of online conspiracy stories where the truth is manipulated and modified at will. In a wide gap between creative leisure and digital imagery, his work is based on central figures, icons, characters or symbols around which the narrative unfolds. Most often taken from mainstream internet culture, these figures are manipulated to tell us about our relationship to reality. Mauritian and French, he also questions the nature of transnational cultures and the collective imaginations attached to them.
