A seal spends two-thirds of its time in the water, but is always capable of drowning. What's it like to live in two different ecosystems but never be satisfied with just one? How does it feel to be at the end of one thing but not quite at the beginning of another? How can we enjoy this in-between time? The caterpillar becomes a butterfly, the seal continues to follow the tide.
For this event, Maddie is inviting London-based writer Thea McLachlan, and Marseille-based DJ Post Moog to perform a set of ambient sub-aquatic synthesizers.
Maddie Tait-Jamieson is a trans-disciplinary artist born in Aotearoa / New Zealand and based in Marseille. Her drawing, writing and installation work weaves unlikely links between anecdotes, failures, emotional discord and liminal identities.
