postfirebooks
Website of the publishing houseTo celebrate the release of its latest title, Tendre Alumine*, Postfirebooks is transforming the Glassbox-Sud space into a reading room for one day. The entire catalogue will be displayed on modular presentation stands designed by Postfirebooks. A selection of bibliographic references will also be available for consultation. To keep you reading without interruption, refreshments and snacks will be available near the reading areas!
* Tendre Alumine documents the Postfirebooks Focus exhibition on contemporary publishing, which took place in June 2025 at the Espace de l'Art Concret in Mouans-Sartoux. This event is an opportunity to further research into publishing and its presence in exhibition spaces. Postfirebooks, invited to present its catalogue in one of the art centre's spaces, proposes to break with the codes of exhibition in which the publication is placed at a distance from its audience.
Modular display stands are designed and installed in the space, inviting visitors to get up close to the works and handle them, thus questioning the interactivity that an editorial object can have with its readership in the context of its distribution. Part mediation object, part documentary photography book, Tendre Alumine is a meta-publication which, through its form and the images and text it contains, paints a portrait of the publishing house that produced it.
The reading room will feature publications by Emma Berger-Pierre, Fanny Souade Sow, Lydia Amarouche, Nesrine Salem, Cliff Tait-Jamieson, José Sales Albella, Thomas Ducrocq, Jules Savoie, Noémi Lancelot, Sam Krack, Eric Watier, Marie Biaudet, Dmitri Eremeev, and Louisa Vahdat.
Postfirebooks publications will be available for purchase during the event.
